  1. Current Position in Detail (Attitude, Altitude, Heading, Airspeed, Power Setting, Distance Remaining on Runway, Height Above Ground)
  2. Fuel State
  3. Weather State (winds, ceiling, vis, alternate, holes in clouds?)
  4. Dual/Solo?
  5. Profile
  6. Other Aircraft Around
  7. In Formation?

Maintain Aircraft Control

A

Actions:
Ground: Bring the aircraft to a stop and notify.
Formation: Call a knock it off, or take/offer lead, bring stable pitch/power.
Takeoff: (In compliance with Takeoff Brief)
Otherwise, in flight:
Describe the actions you will take, by reference to what instruments or visual references, and expected aircraft performance and response.

TCCC for any engine related issue
Gandload, descend, ram/dump for any smoke

Analyze the Situation

A
  1. Look at MW, MC, Fire Lights, are any illuminated?
  2. For FIRE, analyze with Fever, otherwise,
    “I look at the CWS Panel, I expect to see an anti-ice indication and a corresponding (red/amber) annunciator, what do I see?
  3. Anything Engine Related requires TCCC BIP, or Boldface as applicable
  4. Otherwise continue analysis with:
    HOTTINNAV FFPP
