A

variation that is controlled by genes and inherited from your parents and family members e.g. inherited diseases, hair colour, eye colour

A

variation that has no limit on a value that can occur within a population. there are not set groups it is usually measured on a numerical scale e.g. height, weight)

A

animals without backbones. arthropods are the main type they have an exoskeleton and jointed limbs. insects have 6 legs and 3 body segments. spiders have 8 legs and 2 body segments.

what is classification and taxonomy

A

classification is putting organisms into groups based on similar characteristics. these days it is more complicated as we have more advanced techniques, e.g. DNA analysis and therefore some organisms are becoming re-classified.
