aorta
where does right common carotid artery arise from?
brachiocephalic artery
where does right subclavian artery arise from?
brachiocephalic artery
what does common carotid split into ?
external and internal carotid ( for left/right)
what does external carotid supply?
head, neck and scalp
what does inferior carotid supply?
cranial cavity
what does external carotid branch into posterior to mandible?
maxillary artery
what does maxillary artery do?
blood to face and teeth
what does maxillary branch into?
posterior superior alveolar artery and inferior alveolar artery
what does posterior superior alveolar artery do?
supplies the upper molars and pre molars
what does inferior alveolar artery do?
supplies all inferior teeth
what does inferior alveolar nerve do?
supplies sensation to inferior teeth and inferior gingiva
what does anterior superior aveolar artery supply?
supply incisors and canines with blood
what are branches of external carotid ?
Lingual/ buccal/ facial/ infra orbital/ greater and lesser palatine arteries
what does lingual artery supply blood to?
tongue and floor of mouth
what does buccal artery do?
supply cheeks with blood
what does infra orbital do?
via infra orbital foramen and supplies blood to soft tissues on anterior face
what does greater palatine artery do?
blood to hard and soft palate
what does lesser palatine do ?
blood to soft palate
what does greater palatine enter?
greater palatine foramen w/ g. Palatine nerve
why does greater palatine artery enter incisive foramen?
supply nasal cavity w/ blood
main veins of head?
internal and external jugular veins
what do jugular veins join?
subclavian veins to form superior vena cava
what drains into retro mandibular vein?
pterygoid venous plexues
facial vein
