What is a lift?
It is an illegal hit in volleyball where a player carries or holds/guides the ball too long before releasing it.
What is a rally?
A round where the ball is served and play continues until the ball goes out of bounds or a point is scored.
If my teammate bumps the ball into the net, can I still make a play on the ball?
A player can still make a play when a teammate bumps the ball in to the net as long as the net isn’t touched and the team hasn’t made contact with the ball 3 times already.
What are the 4 defensive strategies in volleyball
The four defensive strategies are blocking, digging, rotation defense, and perimeter defense.
What is blocking?
Blocking a defensive strategy where the front row blocks the other team’s spikes.
What is digging?
Digging (forearm, underhand, overhead) is a defensive strategy used to keep the ball from hitting the floor.
What is rotation defense?
Rotation defense is a defensive strategy where the players rotate so that each player can play in different positions.
What is perimeter defense?
Perimeter defense is a defensive strategy where players in the back row cover the edges of the court and dig the ball.
Are you allowed to hit the ball two times in a row?
You cannot hit the ball two times in a row, you have to pass it to someone else or hit it over.
If your teammate hits the ball straight up in the air and you’re next to him, what should you do?
IF your teammate hits the ball straight up in the air and you’re next to them, you should set the ball
If the ball is hit towards you and it’s by your face, should you bump or set the ball?

Why is bumping and setting important in volleyball?
Bumping and setting are important in volleyball because they keep the ball moving in the air and prevent it from falling to the ground.
What should you do if the ball is in between you and your teammate during a game?
The person hitting it says “mine” and the one who is not says “yours”.
