Pedagogical Purpose- Breath
By having a proper breathing technique, singers can create the necessary breath pressure for higher notes, have a stable vibrato, and meter breath.
Pedagogical Purpose- Phonation
the purpose is to work on relaxing the jaw and to bridge between the speaking voice and singing voice
Pedagogical Purpose- Body
purpose is to achieve correct posture to breath easier, reduce tension, and sing with less effort
Pedagogical Purpose- Resonance
to create a richer tone quality and produces higher sounds
Pedagogical Purpose- Range
to negotiate vocal registers through nasal consonants or falsetto
Pedagogical Purpose- Style
use different techniques to create different styles
Pedagogical Purpose- Tuning
to work on listening in order to blend voices to create intonation
Registration and Resonance relate
Singers must alter resonance strategies to transition between registers due to harmonic freq and formants. In the lower register, men and women have a first formant frequency. In middle voice- women and upper-men must shift to second formant. In women’s upper register can reinforce fundamental freq if open jaw.
