whats the process of a ROM assessment
- introduce yourself and explain why/ what you are doing for the assessment
- ask about pain (if they say yes do it on other side)
- tell them to let you know if there’s any pain throughout the assessment
- ask for consent to touch them
- get them to move the muscle you are going to test (move you own one to show them what to do)
- get the client in appropriate position
- line up goniometer acurratley with fixed end dital side
- measure PROM first
- follow the numbers as you move it
- record answer WITH DEGRESS
- measure AROM
- record answer WITH DEGREES
test AROM twice or is anything seems off

the amount of motion moved at a joint when the joint is moved by an outside force
what is AROM
the amount of motion at a joint when the patient moves it by themself
