Q

How do we compare Kanban to Scrum?

A

Scrum:

  • 3 lanes
  • has a fixed iteration cycle
  • has a team structure (Scrum Master, etc) but Kanban doesn’t
  • both use MoSCoW system in prioritisation.

Q

What’s the difference between work in progress and work in process?

A

Work in progress: total amount of work still to be done.
Work in process: story cards that we’re actually working on (so the sprint or iteration backlog).

Scrum doesn’t have this WIP terminology, they are just measured by the two different types of backlogs.
