What are deterioration of health?

A

Changes in the body may occur due to diseases and can influence an individual’s lifestyle.
The heart becomes more susceptible to diseases
Individuals may lose height in middle adulthood which continues to later life, due to change in posture and compression of spinal disks and joints, ageing process also results in loss of strength, muscle, and stamina. Mobility (Gross motor skills, involving large limbs) and dexterity (fine motor skills involving small limbs) decrease.
Small changes to brain such as loss and shrinkage of nerve cells, slower movement, and responses.
Visual and hearing problems may occur in later life which results in a higher fall risk due to lack of strength, balance, and reaction time.
Older people can retain reasonable health with a healthy diet and exercise, they may take up a new hobby to keep them physically and mentally active.
