A
He returns to Normandy and went on tour to show his triumph

Edwin and Morcar, Edgar Aethling and Archbishop Stigand
They where there as leading Englishmen however
It was meant to humiliate and belittle them as they had been beaten

They where capable and efficient

- first castles must had over- awed the English who saw them

Small enough that a garrison of Norman soldiers delt with it
However it showed signs of what was to come
