what is the definition of rugae?
raised ridges of the mucosal layer, which stimulates the penis during intercourse

mucus from the cervix moisture from the endometrial fluid exudates from the bartholin \and skene glands vaginal transudate squamous cells shed from the vagina
what is the vaginal fornix?
recess around the cervix
what structures make up the vulva?
stratified squamous epithelium associated hair follicles apocrine glands sebacious glands "womb or covering"

what are the clinical presentations of papulosquamous lichen planus?
typical papules and plaques with white lacy pattern in the vulvar trigone and periclitoral pattern
- may be part of generalized LP
- may be purtitic
- tends to respond to topical steriods
what are the clinical presentations of hypertrophic LP?
least common with extensive white scaring and destruction (looks like LS)
- intensly puritic
- treatment tends to be resistant
what are the presentations of erosive LP?
aka vulvovaginal gingival syndrome
- destructive erosion with atropy
- usually pain with burning and iritation rather than pruritis
- skin of vulva is erythematous
- treatment tends to be resistant

what is the definition of birth rate?

what is Chadwick’s sign?
bluish discoloration of vagina and cervix caused by increased vascularity
What is hegar’s sign?
widening and softening of the ishmus of the uterus while the cervix is still firm
