Alienation
when workers feel meaningless in their work or that they do not get recognition for what they are doing, or do not connect what they do and the final product
Backup care
emergency care for dependent children or adults so the employee does not lose a day of work
Boomerang employees
employees who terminate working for a company but later return to work for them again

suggests that people shape their careers through their actions, which are influenced by their personal traits and the social environment around them

situation occurring when there is a lack of challenge in the job or promotional opportunity in the organization or when a person decides not to seek advancement

invisible barrier that keeps minorities and women from advancing to higher levels of leadership or success in their careers, even when they are qualified

situation where women or other minorities are more likely to be appointed to leadership roles during times of crisis or high risk. These positions are often more precarious, with a higher chance of failure, making it more difficult for them to succeed
