A

Briefly describe pathology of HIV’s infection on cellular level.

  1. Fusion of HIV on cells expressing CD4 (attachment, entry, uncoating)
  2. Viral DNA formed from RNA by reverse transcriptase and integrated into in host DNA by integrase (Reverse transcription, integration)
  3. Synthesis of viral parts using new viral RNA and host cell machinery (synthesis)
  4. New viral RNA and protein move to cell surface, formation of new HIV virus (assembly, protease action & release)
