I have black 22 as BU vs BB SRP,
flop is 556ddh, opponent x/r me, I call.
Turn is a 5 and he insta-checks. What do I deduce about his range?
With a 5 or a 6, he will think at least about what his ranges wants to do, so I can deduce that he X/R me with weaker hands with some backdoors like J9o one diamond. Bet small vs this range for thin value+denial.
as BB vs BU,3-bet pot,
flop comes T86ssc
I have red queens.
what’s the logic behind X/R all in on the flop?
I have enough equity against his range to get it in, and on many runouts (A,K,spade) he will be able to successfully bluff me off my equity, I’m not as good as a solver in calling down on some runouts.
as CO vs BU SRP,
Flop T34r X/X,
Turn 9 X/B30/R100
What’s the logic behind X/R the turn with A3cc? (it’s a bluff, i have small pair no fd).
Punish him for going for value with his 55-88 region / not checking back enough Tx.
on JJ8QA board, I have AQ as PFR and my opponent pots it. Before shoving all in, what should I consider?
my fold equity based on the villain.
If it’s a massive recreational, then he might call with J2, if he’s nitty he can fold T9 and up to 88(!).
3-bet pot as SB vs CO.
Flop comes 638ccd, X/B33/C
Turn 4h X/B50
What’s the idea behind jamming this turn with AspadesKhearts?
Main point: If he bets too much with his 2 broadway overcard hands then it’s going to perform well.
Some villains will overfold, thinking we only do this with 88/AA. Other times, we will be called by CC (that’s why we mustn’t have clubs) and be ahead.
-Im not sure this is solid.
We 3-bet as SB vs CO A6ss.
flop Q25shs B20/C
turn 6 X/B33
What should I do?
I can jam. He will have a lot of 77-JJ that is folding, and I have a lot of equity against his Qx region, also he’s going to have some combo draws but the main point is that when they bet this sizing it’s more of 77-JJ region
3-bet pot as BU vs SB,
flop comes 963r, SB c-bets for 50% pot. Why raise him?
Punish him if he’s cbetting too often, late position with an overpaid I’m going to get stacked anyways,
Why should I sometimes barrel KsQh on 2 spades board on the turn?
If I won’t, and a spade hits on the river, i won’t have any bluffs on the river.
What’s a big part of a win rate?
3-betting fish and playing my range well postflop
as BB vs CO, I have AJo
flop QJ8r X/B30/C
turn 2 X/X
river K X/B120
What should I do?
Fold or raise. We block AT, he never has T9 here. Calling is bad-board is too wet and I’m not doing well with my bluffcatcher.
In game he jammed for 5x pot.
What does it mean to have dynamic ranges?
Always think about the range im against, never say, against this action i will call with a pair of 6 always, but think about my opponent’s range and then logically think what i want to do
What’s the most important thing in poker, the thing that I need to think about ON EVERY STREET?
RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE. What’s my opponent’s range?
as BU vs SB 3-bet pot,
flop comes K93r,
sb c-bets small and it’s on me,
what are good bluffing candidates?
What are bad bluffing candidates?
Good - hands like QJ/QT/A5 with a backdoor, that can make better hands like AQ fold
Bad - AT/AJ/AQ, I want to call with those hands as they dominate the wheel As and if turn is A I can bet for value
What’s the most EV thing I can do in order to win in poker?
Understand how fish play, their ranges, how to take advantage, and be able to do that in game.
I have 9c9h and open from CO, BB calls, flop comes J23 two clubs, he leads 1BB I call.
Turn is T, he insta-pots it. What should I do?
I have a horrible bluff catcher, as 9c will be present in many of his bluffing hands, and I have only 2 outs to improve vs value such as Jx.
Fold.
where am i?
