Stick around
“Stick around” means to stay in a place for a period of time, rather than leaving immediately. It’s often used in casual conversation.
Examples:
• You can leave if you want, but I’ll stick around for a bit. (I’ll stay here for some time.) • Stick around after the meeting—we need to discuss something. (Stay after the meeting.) • Are you sticking around for the party? (Are you staying for the party?)
