Define a Role
A role defines a set of responibilities

Task or Activity that contains other tasks and lower-level activities.

An activity that spans the entire duration of a software project
What is a Work Package
Specifies a task or activity
Must hav completion criteria
What is included in a Work Package?
- Description of work to be done
- Predictions for starting, duration, resources
- Work products to be produced, acceptance criterial

Define Functional Organization
- people are groudped into department
- departments adress activites

+ Members of a department have a good understanding of the functional area they support
- It is difficult to make major investments in equipment and facilities
- High chance for overlap or duplication of work among deparments
Define Project-based Organization
- people are assigned to a project
- each of which has a problem to be solved in a certain time within a given budget

+ Responsive to new requirements
+ New people can be hired who are failiar with the problem
+ The is no idle time for the project members
- Teams cannot be assembled rapidly
- Roles and Responsibilities need to be defined at the beginning of each project
Define Matrix Organization
People form different departments of a functional organization are assigned to work on one or more projects

Tasks of a Primary Facilitator
- Organizes the meeting
- Creates the agenda at least one day befor the meeting
- Makes sure the agenda is filled out before the meeting start (1h)
- Guides the meeting as moderator
- Makes sure the participants follow the structure of the agenda but be flexible for changes
Tasks of the Minute Taker
- Creates meeting minutes
- Writes down all importation information and decisions
- Distributes the minutes to all participants
