What is the mechanism of action of metoclopramide? What is it used for? What area of the gut does it act on?
D2 receptor antagonist used to increase GI motility due to diabetic or post surgical gastroparesis. Acts on the proximal GI tract but doesn’t increase motility in the colon.
What are the side effects of ondansetron?
headache, constipation and prolonged QT interval
