Flashcards in 1 - vocab Deck (51):
1

*** A note to people who were studying this class in 2017: All the flipped versions of the cards have now been removed, so all cards have Tetun on the front and English on the reverse. On the mobile app you can choose to study each deck in reverse. An effective study method is to complete all the cards as entered, then reset all your confidences and study them in reverse. ***

These words and phrases are from the book "Mai Koalia Tetun – A Beginner's Course in Tetun-Praça The Lingua Franca of East Timor" (2nd edition, 1996) by Geoffrey Hull. The book has 18 chapters but this Brainscape class covers only seven so far.

The book is excellent and will give you a much better comprehension of the language than this Brainscape class alone. Unfortunately, it is now hard to obtain in hard copy, although still available as an e-book.

For a more complete Tetun course on Brainscape see the Peace Corps Tetun classes (which was rebuilt in late 2017).

This Brainscape class was created by Craig Allen (mail@craigallen.net.au) who has no association with the author or publisher of the book.

I'm adding chapter one by one as I work through the book, but am more preoccupied with the Peace Corps Tetun course at the moment.

In early 2018 I will continue with this course – adding the remain chapters and all the phrases from the exercises and dialogues.
