hand held equipment - close to the pesticide (wear PPE, apply pesticides so you are baking out of the treated area)
Mist blowers, aerosol and fog generators,, high pressure sprayers, power dusters, equipment that directs applications over your head, applying in. enclosed spaces
What should you do during an application to ensure pesticide is being applied uniformly and at the proper rate?
monitor you equipment and the delivery, make sure it is reaching the target area uniformly
check the level of pesticide to be sure the correct amount is being applied
do not let pesticides puddle e
ensure pesticide maintains a uniform mix
Where can you find restrictions for re entry of the pesticide label?
check the label for post application requirements
return equipment to proper area
remove granules from non target areas
clean equipment
wash hands prior to using them
take a shower
clean or dispose of contaminated PPE and work clothes
How do you identify which reentry restrictions on a pesticide label pertains to the application you have made?
reentry restrictions listed in the Ag use requirements pertains to site covered by WPS. If the pesticide is labeled for non-agricultural use check under the direction for that specific use
Who must be prevented from entering a site while reentry restriction are in effect?
restrictions listed under ag use requirements apply only to ag workers covered by WPS
How do reentry restrictions differ between non ag applications and applications covered by the WPS
are listed somewhere other than in an Ag use Requirement
