A

Graduated compression/support stockings designed to improve venous and lymphatic flow of the leg. Max compression is at the ankle and decreases as it moves up toward the knee. Aids in circulation of blood and lymph.

Measuring for compression

A

Shoe size, ankle circumference, length of floor to knee.

Measure first in the morning, elevate 15 mins before measuring, take measurements snug against the skin.

Donning / Doffing compression

A

Elevate legs for a few minutes before donning.
Sit up and place legs horizontal (do not dangle).
Insert hand into stocking/ grab heel pocket.

Skin should be dry, thin layer of cornstarch, remove jewelry, avoid gathering/bunching of the fabric.
