Structures that anatomically contact each other will obscure that border.

This patient has alveolar edema caused by heart failure. Their PCWP would be greater than 25

It is positioned too low in the RA, and can put the patient at risk for developing irregular heart beats

This patient has cardiomegaly, but it is important to note that this is an AP image. This could cause the heart to appear larger than what it actually is.

This patient has congestion and interstitial edema. Their PCWP is most likely 18-25

Right at the SVC
