Dental Clinical features of Anaemias
A
Mucosal disease
* Glossitis
* Angular stomatitis
* Recurrent aphthae
* Infection, particularly candidosis
Risks from general anaesthesia
* Shortage of oxygen can be dangerous
Lowered resistance to infection
* Apart from candidosis, this is seen only in severe
anaemia or when due to leukaemia
