- Antibiotics- Eliminate gut or other infections
- NSAIDS for joint pain

- Connective tissue disease characterised by widespread fibrosis
- Stiffening of skin, GI tract, heart, lungs and kidneys
- Reynauds phenomenon early manifestation

Dental symtoms of Scleroderma
A
- Limitation of opening
- Limited oral access from microstomia
- Prominent gingival recession in a minority
- Coup de sabre linear scars of face and tongue
- Firm whitish-yellow fibrotic mucosal plaques, very
rarely - Widening of periodontal ligament radiographically in
7% cases - Dental erosion from gastric reflux
- Mandibular resorption at angle and ramus
- Dry mouth
- Risk of Sjögren’s syndrome
