A
High energy trauma
*will be severe neck pain

What will be found on the PE?
A
- Gap or step-off deformity indicating instability

A
XRays (ap, lat, odontioid)
CT
MRI

What is the treatment
A
Immobilization
IV steroid ASAP to decrease swelling
