Q

Describe the ending of the dance and explain why it is so fitting

A

-the monks end the dance with them all of stage and they circle the arm over to end in a crouch, head down. It is a clear and definite ending position for the dance performed in unison to create an impact and reinforce idea that they’re a collective and are united together. They hold this position for a short while as the lighting slowly dims to a black out, but the musicians continue to play, forcing the audience to reflect on what they’ve just watched before clapping, and allows the orchestra to be appreciated in their own right with no distraction of the dancers on stage.
