  • Research must be based on proper protocol
  • Must make sure that safety, dignity and wellbeing of
    participants take precedence over the development of
    treatments
  • Forseeable risks to participants must be as low as
    possible
  • Must stop research when results indicate that
    participants are a risk of significant harm or no benefit
    is expected
  • Must conduct all research honestly (no falsification,
    plagiarism)
  • Must have consent
  • Must make records of research legible
