The process of creating disharmony between the components of attitude
Change 2 or more comments of attitude
Cognitive dissonance HOW?
Change the cognitive component- running prevents CHD
Change the affective component- start to enjoy running
Change the behavioural component- I now go running 3 times a week
Causes drive to remove disharmony and regain consonance
Persuasive communication WHO?
A significant other/ role model persuading a player to go training

Provide a relevant message

To a recipient who must have a desire to change attitude

What does CAB stand for?
Cognitive- beliefs towards an attitude object
Affective- feelings/ emotions towards an attitude object
Behavioural- actions towards an attitude object
