A tincture is typically an extract of plant or animal material dissolved in ethanol (ethyl alcohol)
how to prep emulsions
4 parts oil + 2 parts water + 1 gum (acacia)
eutectic mixture
combo of ingredients will melt at a lower temp than either of the individual compounds
beyond used date for non-sterile products
nonaqueous formulation
no later than 6 months, 180 days. store at room temp
beyond used date for non-sterile products
water-containing oral formulations (such as oral suspensions)
no later than 14 days, when stored at cold temps. store in refrigerator
beyond used date for non-sterile products
water-containing topical/dermal and mucosal liquid and semisolid formulations (cream or lotion)
