STAGE 1 DEMENTIA

EARLY/MILD (stage 4 on riesburg scale)
- no motivation, lost interest in hobbies, not wanting to try new things, unadapting to change, poor judgement/decisions, slower to grasp complex ideas, longer with routines, blame others for stealing things, self centered, don’t care about others feelings, forgetful of recent events, repeat themselves, irritable/upset if fail at something, money management issues

Question 2

STAGE 2 DEMENTIA

MIDDLE/MOD (stage 5 on riesburg)
- more apparent problems, forget recent events even more, confused with time/place, lost if away from familiar surroundings, forget names of family/confuse them, forget pots on stove (SAFETY!!), wandering, may get lost, behave inappropriately, hallucinations, repetitive, neglect self, angry/upset/frustrated

Question 3

STAGE 3 DEMENTIA

LATE/ADVANCED (stages 6-7 Riesburg)
- severe disabled, total care with all ADLs, unable to remember things for a few minutes, can’t understand or use speech, poor posture, balance, swallowing & chewing issues, incontinent, can’t recognize family, night disturbance, restless (looking for dead relatives), aggressive when threatened, difficulty walking (wc), uncontrolled movements, bedridden
