What does social learning theory propose?

A

-Behaviour is learned rather than innate
-Put forward by behaviourists
-Propes that children are born as blank slates or ‘tabula rasa’ and become who they are because of their experiences
-Behaviour is learnt through either classical or operant conditioning

What is classical conditioning?

A

The thing that gives you pleasure becomes the unconditioned stimulus and the caregiver becomes the conditioned stimulus because of learning by association
