Conflict of interest when you as a dev have a deadline to meet and someone from your team has an impediment that the SM needs to solved

why can’t you combine PO and SM role?
A
PO - focused on clients and crafting the product backlog
SM - focused on team and crafting the team
hard to switch hats — SM asks team of they are sure they can finish dev work in time if asked to take on work (protect the team, asks tough questions), while PO tells team that they want more work brought into the sprint
