  • evolves
  • order + size per item - sometimes not immediate
  • PO orders item
  • less understood items are lower down - need refinement
  • refinement - ongoing
  • PBI is ready if team is confident that a PBI can be turned into ready to done in one sprint
  • Devs decide on sizing
  • Sizing influences PO’s ordering
  • Many techniques for sizing - select based on team
  • single source of work to achieve product goal
  • can have other things at the bottom of the PB but the focus should be on the product goal
    -if you are never going to do some work, don’t put it in the PB - not a repo

-PBIs - independent, purposeful and needed to meet the product goal
