Tissue Fluid Flashcards
what is tissue fluid
a combination of water oxygen and nurtients
what does it surround
cells in the body
why does tissue fluid surround cells
to provide nutrients to the cell and remove waste products
capillaryes are involved
what is pressure filtration
substence’s move into a tissue fluid FROM the capillaries
gradients
what does the high pressure in the capillaries create
it creates a pressure gradient between capillaries and the outside
what causes the pressure inside the capillaries to decrease
movement of fluid
big substence
when fluid moves out of the capillaries what remains in them
plasma protiens
a
as the plama protien concentration as the capillarys increase what happens to the water potential
it decreases
as there is now a water potential gradient fomed what via ____ water diffuses back into the capilaries from the tissue fluid
osmosis
talk about: pressure, water, plasma protiens
how is tissue fluid formed
there is a higher pressure insidfe the capillares so this forces water out of the capillaries apart from the plasma protiens
talk about: ressure in capillaries (after water has gone out)
how is tissue fluid returned to the circulatory system
plasma protiens and is it going up/down the water potential gradient
the pressure inside the capillaries decreases so due to water losss there are more plasma proteins which lowers the water potential. so water re enters the capillary by osmosis down a water potential gradient
what is excess water taken up by
lymph capillaries
what do lymth capillaries do
reture excess water to circulatory system through veins
