Q

case study Colin Stagg

A

After the murder of Rachel Nickell, Stagg was arrested but there was no evidence to link him to link him to the crime. Police used ‘honey trap’ method in order to use a woman to entice a murder confession. He remained innocent but false info was used against him in court. This evidence was ruled inadmissable and the charge was dropped. This case displays police rushing to achieve a conviction in order to please the public resulting in miscarriages of justice.
