- levodopa: converted into dopamine in substantia nigra
- carbidopa: Inhibition of peripheral dopa decarboxylase which prevents levodopa conversion to dopamine in peripheries > Increased availability for CNS

- drowsiness
- freezing
- sleep disorders
- dyskinesia
- impulse control disorders

A
- pyridoxine - increased breakdown in peripheries
- monoamine oxidase inhibitors - increases risk of hypertensive crisis
- antipsychotics - dopamine antagonist
