How can oestrogen and progesteron be used as contraception?

A
  • Oestrogen:
  • If released steadiy everday then it inhibits FSH
  • Egg won’t mature so won’t release
  • Progesteron:
  • Stimulated build up of thick mucus at the enterance of the uterus so prevents sperm reaching egg
