What was the anger from the right?

A

Stresemann called off passive resistance in the Ruhr ( without French concessions ) leading to :
Bavarias right wing gov declared state of emergency and placed Gustavia Von Kahr as state commissioner
Growing right desire to march on Berlin and establish a dictatorship

Who was Gustavia Von Kahr?

A

Right wing conservative
Minister - president of Bavaria 1920-1921
Stepped down after central gov disagreements
State commissioner General in 1923
Wanted bavaria to have it’s own monarchy and wanted to use Nazis to achieve it.
President of the Bavarian administrative court until his murder i. 1934

A

Combined socialist ideas with nationalism
The DAP : Deutsche Arbeiterpartei
Became the NSDAP in 1920

What was the Munich beer hall Putsch?

A

With Ludendorff hitler set out to get Von Kahr and Otto Von lossow on his side
8th nov 1923 - Nazis interrupted an address by the 2 to 2000 people.
SA surrounded the building and Hitler declared that the revolution had begun
Kahr and lossow agreed to support

How did the Putsch fail?

A

Kahr and lossows support vanished overnight ( along with chances at mass support )
Storm troopers failed to gain control of barracks but Hitler carried on anyway
Gun battle with police led to Hitler getting hit in the shoulder and tried to flee but was captured. Ludendorff allowed himself to be arrested.
Seeckt sent in troops to clean up the mess

Founded by Locksmith Anton drexler and a group in Jan 1919 who hated the TOV , nations moral standards and changing culture
20,000 which split from the SPD
