place 5 radish seeds in the lid of petri dish with acetate grid lines
place filter paper and cotton wool on top of seeds and pour solution into dish and seal
repeat above for different solutions
stand dishes vertically in an incubator at 25
measure length of root and shoot calculate average lengths in each dish and compare with control
