What is a psychologist rehabilitation committee? What is their function(s)?

A

A committee of the Board or the MPA that is recognized by the Board and includes, but is not limited, to psychologists.

This committee evaluates and provides assistance to any psychologist, and any other individual regulated by the Board, in need of treatment and rehabilitation for alcoholism, drug abuse, chemical dependency, or other physical, emotional, or mental condition.

The Board may refer a psychologist to this committee instead of taking punitive action.

These things are not discoverable/admissible in evidence on any civil action, except:
The committee must report all violations of law that they learn about in the process of providing services to psychologists.

A

A person who acts in good faith and within the scope of the PRC is not civilly liable for any action as a member of the PRC or for giving information to, participating in, or contributing to the function of the PRC.

No, but it used to be. Now the MPA CAR is a medical review committee, not a PRC.
