Mechanism of Action

A
  • inhibits platelet aggregation by blocking the formation of Thromboxane A2 -> Thromboxane A2 causes platelet aggregation and arterial constriction
  • COX inhibitor -> inhibits prostaglandin synthesis and reduces spread of inflammation
