Specifications - what are the preliminaries?

A

Describe work contractor must undertake which is not part of the works but generally required for contractors management of the project
(i.e. Site fencing, site sheds, temporary services, warranties, statutory requirements, setting out, cleaning, etc)

Specification - What are some examples covered in the preliminaries?

A

Permits and fees, manufacturers instructions (required to comply with for warranty purposes), noise and nuisance, site meetings (frequency of, accommodation for), working hours, OH&S, documents (AS editions to be kept on site), prohibited materials, the site (signboard, site phone, costs, contractor access, requirements, restrictions)

A

Specific matters for each trade in relation to materials, quality and so on
