Means to proclaim and live out the Gospel
Jesus sent the apostles to ‘baptise all nations’ and their successors continued this work.
For Catholics it is not trying to convert people but living our life in a way that people may want to choose to find out more
Traditionally evangelisation meant spreading the gospel to places that it has yet to reach however papal encyclicals in the past 50 years have focussed more on more evangelisation in the western world.
Individuals can evangelise through their career, service to the church (e.g. catchist), Attending national events and workshops and use of social media•The Church can evangelise through charitable work, youth events, the bishops conference. Social media, the work of the pope and international charities e.g. CAFOD
