4th step-
Quaternary
What is Tertiary
The protein becomes functional and 3D
What is Primary
Ordering the amino acids
Amino acids have 3 groups-
Amine group, Variable group, Carboxyl group
What is secondary
Coils and pleats-determined by the hydrogen bond
What is Quaternary
not all protiens-when a protine is made up of one or more polypeptide chain.
What is a poly peptide chain
a string of amino acids connected together by peptide bonds
how does a poly peptide chain happen?
ribosomal subunits assemble together like a sandwich on the strand of mRNA, where they proceed to attract tRNA molecules tethered to amino acids (circles). A long chain of amino acids emerges as the ribosome decodes the mRNA sequence into a polypeptide, or a new protein.
