Q

Procedure for a premise that is secure with alarm bells ringing.

A

1-Confrim attempts to contact a key-holder have been made, note the time of notification, the ETA of the key holder
2-Personnel should perform a 360 of the premise, if possible
3-Perform a thorough exterior check, using the TIC, to ensure no fire hazard or medical problem exists and to determine the cause of the alarm
4-Wait 30mins for a key-holder(from the time the call was received). Apparatus is “available” while waiting. Wait times in excess of 30mins will be at the discretion of the IC
5-If Key holder does not respond and access cannot be gained to the premise, upon completion of their checks a NTR is to be left in prominent place and leave the incident scene. NTR’s for residential alarms are for the homeowners info only, they should be noted as such and will not require any further follow-up.
