- 24x30cm
- sanitize bucky
- crosswise
- Center 2” above EAM
- Affected side closest to IR (Lt lateral)
- have patient face bucky and then turn head to a lateral
- line up IOML
- make sure there is no till on head

A
- 24x30cm
- sanitize bucky
- lengthwise
- CR 30* caudad angle
- till head down, line up OML (go down town) -use sponge
- Center 2” about level of EAM
- use wedge filter on top half
- make sure top of skull is on

A

- lengthwise
- face bucky and line up OML
- Center exiting the nasion
- CR 15* caudad angle

SMV Basal Skull
A
- 24x30cm
- sanitize bucky
- lengthwise
- sit patient on a chair
- neck hyperextended until IOML is parallel to IR
- Centering through EAM
- not used for trauma

A

- lengthwise
- Affected side closest to IR (Lt lateral)
- have patient face bucky and then turn head to a lateral
- line up IOML
- make sure there is no till on head
- collimate to top teeth and just behind ear

A

- lengthwise
- standing facing the bucky (nose resting on bucky)
- OML angled 15* (line up TEA and bottom 3rd of eye)
- horizontal ray
- Centering is exiting the nasion
- close collimate to sinuses

Open-Mouth water sinuses
A
- 18x24cm
- sanitize bucky
- lengthwise
- standing facing bucky
- horizontal ray
- exit at acanthion
- OML 37* to IR
- line up MML
- move patients head away from bucky, then get them to open their month, then put them back

Lateral nasal bones (bilateral)
A
- 18x24cm
- sanitize IR and lead masking
- crosswise
- 2 views, must use a cassette
- on table, no grid
- lead masking for 2( 1 IR) - clean cassette and lead masking
- put patient in recovery position to start
- IOML perpendicular to IR
- make sure head isn’t tilted or rotated
- include anterior nasal spine
- center inferior to nasion

- lengthwise
- do on table
- chin resting on table
- hands out in front to take weight off of chin
- OML 37* to bucky (MML perpendicular to IR)
- centering exiting acanthion
- tight collimation

Oblique inferosuperior (tangential) Zygomatic arches
A
- 18x24cm
- sanitize bucky
- sit patient on a chair( 1 foot away)
- neck hyperextended (SMV)
- Rotate Head 15* towards affected side
- Tilt chin 15* towards affected side
- center through arches(put finger on arch to see if the beam is going through)
- Tight collimation

- centering entering the glabella, passing through the midarches
- strip collimation of arches

- centering 2” superior to EAM and 1/2” anterior
- small collimation
- marker face up and a O or C
