If a defect is unable to be repaired on a short turnaround, what occurs?

A
  • Item may be deferred in compliance with provisions in MEL
  • If defect is airworthiness item, defect is transferred to Technical Log
  • Non-airworthiness items can remain open in CLB until aircraft arrives at maintenance base, provided MCC is contacted before any departure for concurrence
