If someone other than an FA occupies a jumpseat, what must occur?
They must be briefed on HOLD:
Harness and Seat - Operation and use of the seat and restraint system
Oxygen - Location and use of the O2 system at the seat
Life Jacket - Location and use of life jacket
Door - Person’s responsibilities and actions during an emergency
During re-fuelling, what are the designated evacuation routes?
- L1
- L4
If moving a passenger’s carry-on bag to the cargo hold, what are cabin crew duties: (2)
- Ask PAX to remove any items they may need during flight (ie. Personal effects, documentation, medication)
- Verify with PAX if there are any of the following DG items in their baggage:
- Thermometer / Barometer
- Ligher
- Safety matches
- Spare lithium batteries
What are the critical phases of flight?
- Take-off +5 mins after
- Landing -5 mins before
When is Sterile Flight Deck?

- Duty free purchases will be accepted in addition to COB provided the combined size & weight does not exceed the limitations
What are the criteria for acceptance or refusal of COB? (2)
- Each pax is allowed no more than one piece of COB.

- Prior to the departure of the aircraft’s first flight of the day
- Whenever any crew member seems them necessary (ie. When there are concerns or observations regarding the equipment)
- Following a crew change when no verbal confirmation from the previous crew is possible
- When the aircraft has been left unattended (without a Sunwing employee or maintenance personnel on board)
