Q

How can you show that pressure in a liquid depends on depth?

A

Fill a can with water and make 4 equal sized holes at different levels. The lowest hole of the four spurts water the farthest showing the greater the depth, the more pressure

Q

How can you demonstrate atmospheric pressure?

A

Fill the bottom of a can with water and hold over a Bunsen burner to boil the water. When steam starts coming out turn the can upside down in a basin of water. The can collapses as boiling the water removed the air from the can through steam and once the steam condenses the pressure outside the can causes it to collapse
