  1. Get four test tubes
  2. Fill one test tube with moist cotton wool and seeds
  3. Fill another tube with dry cotton wool and seeds
  4. Fill another tube with moist cotton wool and seeds but put it in a fridge
  5. Fill another tube with cotton wool, cool boiled water, oil and seeds
  6. Only the test tube with moist cotton wool and seeds should germinate
