Summative - you come up with some codes before and some codes after - mainly quantitative
Top - down
Coming up with codes then watching the media
Bottom - down
Reading the data and then coming up with codes

A
It’s a way of analysing qualitative data usually from interviews or questionnaires - you immerse
Yourself in the data then you pick out important codes or themes and then the produce a written analysis based on your interpretations of the data
