Young pts following minor assault/sporting injury
-blow to side of head causing fracture/tearing of middle meningeal artery
Blood accumulates over mins/hrs

A
Brief duration of unconsciousness/lucid recovery
Progressive hemiparesis/stupor
Ipsilateral dilated pupil –> Bilateral, fixed, dilated pupils
Hemiplegia/resp arrest

Characteristic lentiform shape
Midline shift
Ventricular compression
